Walk beneath the Arctic sky – light a fire, slow down, and embrace the silence.

Welcome to Saariniemi — a place where history comes alive and winter silence surrounds you.

We begin the evening with a gentle walk around the estate. You will hear stories of Saariniemi's long history and life shaped by the rhythm of Lapland's nature.

Afterwards, we put on snowshoes and head onto the frozen lake or into the nearby forest — far from artificial lights.

We move calmly, in silence, under the star-filled sky.

If we are lucky, the Northern Lights will appear above us.

We return to the warmth and light a campfire together. You will learn how to build a proper fire — and how to simply be beside it. We enjoy a warm drink and small snacks, letting the winter night do its quiet work.

This is not just an excursion.

It is a moment to pause, breathe and experience the Arctic nature without hurry.
