Nestled on Saariniemi Estate's private peninsula on Lake Vanttausjärvi, Villa Ainola offers privacy, comfort, and direct access to the beauty of Finnish Lapland. Located just 55 km from Rovaniemi, the villa provides a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature in every season.

In winter, snow-covered forests and the frozen lake create a serene Arctic landscape. Step directly from the villa into snowshoeing, forest skiing, or simply enjoy the stillness of nature. On clear nights, guests may even be fortunate enough to witness the Northern Lights above the lake.

During summer, the shallow sandy shoreline is ideal for families, while the private rowing boat, lakeside fire pit, and surrounding nature invite guests to slow down and enjoy life outdoors. The endless light of the Midnight Sun creates a unique atmosphere throughout the season.

Carefully renovated in 2019, Villa Ainola combines modern comforts with the charm of a traditional Finnish lakeside home. Large windows bring the surrounding landscape into the living spaces year-round.

Optional Experience

A traditional wood-heated lakeside barrel sauna is available exclusively for Villa Ainola guests.

We will provide instructions for heating the sauna, and the first heating will be prepared for your arrival.
