Welcome to Saariniemi Heritage Estate – home of Lapland Deluxe. Founded in 1862 as a forest ranger's estate, Saariniemi has remained in the same family from generation to generation. Located on its own private peninsula by Lake Vanttausjärvi, just 55 km from Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, life here continues in harmony with the rhythm of Arctic nature.

For nearly two decades the estate stood empty. When it came into our ownership, the historic buildings required extensive and careful restoration. Through years of dedicated work, we brought Saariniemi back to life – preserving its original character while preparing it for a new chapter: welcoming a limited number of guests to experience authentic private estate living in Lapland.

At Saariniemi, guests can enjoy snowshoeing across frozen lakes, husky sledding, traditional net fishing under the ice, a lakeside Finnish sauna, hands-on heritage workshops, private dining in a historic log house, and Northern Lights viewing in complete privacy. In summer, the Midnight Sun lights the shoreline through the night.
