Walk beneath the Arctic sky – light a fire, slow down, and embrace the silence.

Welcome to Saariniemi — a place where history comes alive and winter silence surrounds you.

We begin the evening with a gentle walk around the estate. You will hear stories of life at Saariniemi and the rhythm of nature that has shaped this corner of Lapland for generations.

Afterwards, we put on snowshoes and head onto the frozen lake or into the nearby forest — far from artificial lights.

We move slowly and quietly beneath the Arctic sky, far from roads, crowds and artificial light. 

With favourable conditions, we may witness the Northern Lights dancing above the lake and forest. 

We gather around a campfire, enjoying its warmth and light. You will learn how to build a proper fire — and how to simply be beside it. We enjoy a warm drink and small snacks, letting the winter night do its quiet work.

This is not just an excursion, but an opportunity to experience the silence, darkness and beauty of the Arctic at its natural pace.

It is a moment to pause, breathe and experience the Arctic nature without hurry.

Transportation to Saariniemi is not included.
